WEEE and Batteries regulatory compliance

Producers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), Batteries and Accumulators must fulfil the requirements laid on them by Legislative Decree 49/2014 concerning WEEE, and by Legislative Decree 188/08 on Batteries and Accumulators, according to the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

The aforesaid legislative decrees, do in fact require Producers of EEE, Batteries and Accumulators to finance the transport, treatment and recovery operations and the environmentally friendly disposal of WEEE, Batteries and Accumulators. Producers have a collective responsibility according to their respective market share.

By joining Remedia, the Producer is immediately in compliance with applicable national legislation and has available a dedicated contact centre and regulatory advice and support for the activities required by law. In addition, he will receive updates, training and information on the latest regulatory changes and developments in the WEEE sector.
