In order to fulfil the Decree requirements concerning collection and treatment of Weee, Producers have to establish or join a Collective Compliance System such as Consorzio Re.Media.

Usually a Collective Compliance System is a non profit organization and its primary task is to manage the entire recycling scheme of household Weee as fixed in the Decree 151/05.

It is possible to find specialised Collective Compliance Systems for each product’s category and, on the other hand, multi chain Collective Compliance Systems managing all product’s categories.

When Producers enter the National EEE Register they have to indicate the Collective Compliance System they have joined. As known, to sell in Italy household EE Equipments, it is compulsory to join a Collective Compliance System.
