Remigia, the recycling locomotive, takes those interested on a journey of discovery following end-of-life technological goods through the various stages of recycling: collection, separation, grinding, and the recovery of the valuable materials they contain.
Driven by the same enthusiasm with which it has undertaken its work, ReMedia launched a program to promote awareness among the younger generation.
This was the spirit behind “Remigia, the marvellous recycling locomotive”, an engaging and entertaining idea devised in the belief that interactive play and the metaphor of the journey made by end-of-life technological products will leave a mark in children’s memories, so extending general awareness of WEEE issues.
ReMedia is driven by a “Passion for the Environment” and the Consortium, in taking on its mission, favours very concrete action to strongly promote general awareness of WEEE issues.
The locomotive has been devised with the idea that it should “make a journey” around Italy. Stops are to be made at some of the biggest museums for children, town-centres venues, megastores where families congregate in large numbers, and at events on environmental matters that educate through play and discovery.
