There is a duty on the public/consumers to contribute to environmental protection by reducing the risk of pollution and behaving responsibly.  We know that electrical and electronic equipment is increasingly present in our homes given its key importance in improving the quality of life of individuals and families.

However, when these products near the end of their service life and have to be discarded, what to do with them becomes a problem.

The trouble must be taken, by everyone, to dispose of all electronic and electrical equipment through pre-sorted waste collection.  Consumers can either take it directly to their local authority collection sites or to a retailer if they intend to replace it with a similar product (this solution will be feasible following action to simplify delivery of this service by retailers).
